
Dr. Gianpaolo Ghiani
Gianpaolo is Professor of Operations Research at the University of Salento, Lecce, Italy. His main research interests are logistic systems planning and control and supply chain management. He has published over 40 papers in a variety of international journals, including Transportation Science, Transportation Research, and Operations Research. His doctoral thesis was awarded the Transportation Science Dissertation Award from INFORMS in 1998. He has co-authored the textbook Introduction to Logistics System Planning and Control (Wiley, 2004).
Gianpaolo has acted as the principal investigator of a number of R&D projects, including the early development of Larry, eCourier’s super duper computer.
